Los Angeles Rams fans!!! Are you ready for our Championship game? Here is the game preview folks to get you raring to go for this huge match!!!!
This week’s championship matchup sees us in New Orleans against the Saints who finished top of the NFC South with a 13-3 record. The Saints went into the playoffs with the best record in the league tied with us at 13-3. The Saints record though has given them home field advantage in this game and that can be a big factor as anyone who saw the Saints game with the Eagles last week would see. The Superdome can be a very noisy place when the away team have the ball and this is something Goff and co will have to be aware off at the line of scrimmage. The Saints, for the most part, have looked very impressive where ever they have played this season all be it after losing their first game of the season to the Buccaneers at home I might add. There have not been many blips in their season and the only one that really kinda rocked them was in week 13 when the Cowboys totally shut down Bree’s and co. in a superb defensive performance. That’s right Ramily and if the team we sent home last week can do it then so can we…WHO’S WITH ME ?…(now I’ve sat down again) let’s get on to this week’s game
Players to look out for
Drew Brees QB
What to say about one of the absolute best QB’s to play the game. Bree’s has just had a tremendous season and just a few weeks back broke the record for most passing yards ever. Bree’s is also surrounded with great playmakers just now and this combination just makes for one of the most potent offences I can remember. Brees will be a sure-fire Hall of Famer and at the moment could be playing his very best stuff even this late in his career.
Mark Ingram HB and Alvin Kamara HB
Thunder and lightning literally!!! These two continue to give defences fits. It’s got to be one of the best one-two punch combinations in the league right now. Ingram is the powerful runner who will get you the tough yards, and don’t sleep on his speed either. Kamara is the speedster but also a tough runner who is second only behind Michael Thomas in receptions this year on the team. This is a match made in heaven (if you’re a Saints fan) and these two can get you in so many ways, Screens, jet sweep, the list goes on.
Michael Thomas WR
I said in an earlier article that this guy was an emerging talent. I think it’s safe to say he’s arrived huh lol. Thomas has had just a terrific year leading the team in receptions and touchdowns with nine. Our secondary will be strongly tested by this guy but I look for our own Marcus Peters to stay close to Thomas and this should make for an exciting matchup.
Cameron Jorden LE
One of the premier pass rushers in the league. He’s top five in my book, and I remember him getting to Goff last year a couple of times. But this year he had a quieter game with our own Rob Havinstein (our RT) having a solid game against him in week ten.
Marshon Lattimore CB
In only his second season in the league Lattimore has already become a stand out cornerback. After a rookie season which was hindered with some injuries Lattimore is now standing out at his position, and it’s easy now to see why the Saints took him in the first round. Lattimore also had a strong showing against the Eagles last week and got the interception on the Eagles last drive to help win it for the Saints.
My final word on this game
What a mouthwatering game we have this week Ramily and with both teams capable of lighting up the scoreboard it could be a classic. But I just don’t think we’ll see the very high scoring game we saw in week ten. Of course there will be points butIi think this one will be a closer affair with defences having more of a say in this one. Some key match up’s for us will be how disruptive our defensive line can be, as I think it’s going to be paramount we keep Bree’s on his toes with hurries and hopefully a sack or three. Another guy who has the potential to be a factor in this game is Taysom Hill who is the Saints third string Quarterback but also their gadget guy. Sean Payton loves to run all kind of tricks with this guys so keep an eye out for Hill. Also like last week, establishing the run can only mean good things for us and look for us to try and get Gurley and Anderson rolling early… Anyway folks that my Championship two cents, hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading.
Score prediction for this one is (Folks I just got a good feeling. I have!) Saints 20-24 Rams…
